Fire alarms and building safety
Where a development or building has fire alarms in communal areas, NCHA carries out regular testing.
We also carry out regular inspections of our buildings to identify and fix any health and safety concerns. We’ll also keep an eye out for any maintenance that needs doing in communal areas.
Our fire safety programme includes servicing, repairing and maintaining fire equipment within a block or scheme. This can include equipment like fire extinguishers, fire doors, dry risers, emergency lighting, alarms and smoke vents. Service charges cover these costs, as well as risk assessments and any remedial work identified.
