Time off at NCHA
Annual leave
You’ll receive 28.5* days leave each year, plus paid bank holidays, or the equivalent additional leave entitlement if you work in a service that’s open on bank holidays.
If you’re part-time, the allowance is pro-rated and your allowance will be available to view in your colleague self service portal when you start.
After five years of being with us, you'll get an additional two days annual leave* each year to say thank you for your loyalty!
You also have the option to buy up to five days additional leave or sell it*, depending on what suits your circumstances.
Our leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March, so make sure you keep this in mind when booking holidays so you can spread them across the year. Be sure to use it all up - we like to make sure that colleagues are well rested.
Maternity, paternity and adoption leave
We offer enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay provisions if you’re planning on expanding your family while you’re with us**. If you want to share parental leave we can work with you on that too.
Sickness
We hope with some good luck and our wellbeing benefits you’ll have a clean bill of health, but occasionally we all get poorly. If you’re ill in the first 12 months you’re here, we operate a statutory sick pay scheme. This changes** the more service you accrue, and when you arrive you’ll be able to see our full sickness absence policy, which along with all our policies is on our intranet.
