Over 400 new affordable homes

We’ve smashed our annual target

Looking back at the 2024/25 financial year, we’re proud to announce the completion of 421 new affordable homes for the people of the East Midlands.

This is way above our target of 320 and reflects our continued commitment to tackling the shortage of affordable housing across the East Midlands. It’s a great reflection on the dedication of NCHA teams, and our architects and development teams at Pelham

Working to relieve the housing crisis

As the country continues to experience a lack of housing options, we’re pleased to be able to contribute towards the government’s home building targets. We’re extremely grateful to Homes England for their vital funding support, as well as to our local authority partners and contractors who helped make this possible.

To support those who live in our communities, we continue to build homes of all sizes, in urban and rural environments, and purpose-built homes for people with care and support needs. And we work closely with the local authorities where we work, to make sure that our homes help to fulfil specific needs in each area.

Supporting home ownership

Most of our homes are rented out at an affordable rent, to people on local councils’ waiting lists, but we also build for shared ownership. Just over 100 of the homes we’ve built in the last year are for part rent / part buy helping more people onto the property ladder and into safe, secure and affordable housing.

With the continued support of our partners, we remain focused on delivering new homes for rent and shared ownership, providing innovative, energy-efficient affordable housing solutions where it’s most needed. Find out more in our Places Strategy.
