Transforming lives at Elms Park

It was great to see our Executive Team leading by example as they got their hands dirty to help service users at Elms Park, in Ruddington.

Buckling up for a chilly winter day ahead, the team wasted no time getting stuck into digging and shovelling leaves in a bid to spruce up the project’s gardens.

Elms Park provides support and care to people with mental health and learning difficulties. This made it feel even more important to nurture their living environments into a positive and supportive space our service users can be proud to call home.

Led by our Chief Executive, Paul Moat, our Executive Team were joined by service users and managers at the project. Intent on brightening up every area of the project, the volunteers went a step further by also redecorating the living room and giving the walls a vibrant new lick of paint.

Reflecting on the day, Paul said: “Helping people to look after their homes and have a nice environment to live in is such a great thing to do, and it’s very rewarding for us too.

“There’s been paint flying everywhere and a great feeling of comradery among the volunteers and service users alike. Hopefully we’ll leave a positive legacy for the people who live here.”
