Round-up of our National Apprenticeship Week

This week is National Apprenticeship Week, which aims to celebrate the value, benefit, and opportunity that they bring, both for the apprentices themselves and the organisations that they work for.

We’re committed to our apprenticeship programme and the number we run across the business is increasing year on year. 

We work closely with Access Training, who we part-own, to deliver many of our apprenticeships. They support over 1,000 learners each year and boast 100% employer satisfaction.

Celebration event

At NCHA, we marked the week by holding a celebration event for our apprentices and other learners who’ve completed their qualification in the last year.

A total of 14 NCHA colleagues completed a qualification in 2024, in a range of subjects including adult care work, facilities management, housing and property management, learning and development, and procurement.

Learners’ stories

A selection of our colleagues have shared their learning journey, including:

• Katy studied for a Leader in Adult Care apprenticeship
• Suzanna achieved a Level 3 apprenticeship in Housing and Property Management
• Marisa’s apprenticeship has opened the door to her studying for a university degree.

Opportunities coming soon

In the next few weeks we’ll be advertising for two new apprentices to join our team at NCHA. Our Property Maintenance Operative (PMO) apprenticeships offer the opportunity to learn about plumbing, painting, joinery and plastering over the course of one year, giving a solid grounding for a career in a trade.
