Older people’s housing development in Clifton reaches milestone

A significant milestone has been achieved in the construction of Farnborough Court, an impressive development in Clifton that will provide 50 affordable new homes for over 55’s.

The 'topping out' ceremony marked the completion of the building's structure, which means that the roof is in place and the structure is watertight, ready for the next stage of construction to commence.

We were joined by Nottingham City Councillor Jay Hayes, Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning along with Pelham Architects and GEDA Construction to celebrate this achievement.

The development is part of a broader regeneration project on the former site of South Nottingham College on Farnborough Road. It includes our new workplace, 14 supported living flats, six bungalows, and sporting facilities.

These affordable rent properties are designed to offer high-quality, energy-efficient homes for older residents. They will provide a safe and secure environment for individuals aged 55 years and over.

Upon completion in December 2024, Farnborough Court will significantly address the need for newly built housing for older people in the area. The project demonstrates NCHA's commitment to providing affordable and accessible housing solutions for the local community.
