Care Committee members visit our services
At NCHA we deliver care and support service to more than 1,000 adults across the East Midlands. Our services offer support to people with learning and physical disabilities, mental ill health, people experiencing homelessness, living with domestic abuse, older people and young people in need.
Its vital work, and we’re conscious of our responsibility to deliver excellent services that support our customers to life their life to the fullest.
To keep us on track we have a Board Sub-Committee, called the ‘Care Committee’. The group review and influence our policies, strategic work and performance, in the areas that most impact our care and support customers. They ensure our work is kept on track and our customers receive the excellent service they deserve.
Incoming Chair Leanne Monger and new committee member Sarah Battershall, recently joined Holly Dagnall, Director of Homes and Wellbeing on a tour of a few of our care and support services.
Leanne commented: “It’s been so interesting to get to see services I’d only heard the names of before. I’ve really enjoyed talking to the customers that we support and we’ve been really impressed by the passion and dedication demonstrated by our teams.”
Sarah added: “It’s plain to see the values these teams are demonstrating every day in the way that they deliver their care and support and advocate for their service users. I’m sure that that extends across all of NCHA’s care and support service; hopefully we’ll be able to visit some others really soon.”
